Your home is your center, this is why it is so important to create positive flowing and renewed energy in it. It influences your mind, health and mood a daily basis and you have the ability to ward off any negative energies with a few simple practices.
Cleanliness- Living in a clean, uncluttered environment tremendously effects your mood. Wipe down areas you have not cleaned recently, vacuum in the corners and get rid of any and everything that is no longer serving you. Having less around in your home and living a minimalist lifestyle lowers stress and increases happiness. So go through your closets and start sorting. If you have not used it in the last 3 months, no probably wont miss it.
Get Burning- A white sage smudging ceremony is perfect for casting out negative energy and allowing positive energy to circulate your home. Smudging is one of the oldest and purest methods of cleansing. It is a beautiful practice over 2,000 years old that was adopted by Indigenous Americans. The smoke from dried sage has the ability to alter the ionic composition of the air. First, to start your sage ceremony, sage around yourself concentrating on your intention and then begin around your home focusing on high traffic areas and corners. Colours and Air- Research has found colours impact our mood. Try decorating in lighter colour tones and keeping things very airy. Open windows and doors and make sure air is filtering through out your home. It is not uncommon for the air inside to be dirtier than that from outside.

Go Green- Plants are amazing at natural detoxification. They also really brighten up a room. Ever notice how happy you feel around plants?! Just make sure whatever you pick are ok near your pets. Snake plant, spider plant, and Aloe are great cleansers. Peonies, sunflowers and succulents are just a few options that may make you happy.
